Soapstone can maintain coldness or warmth well. Designer and jewellery artist Ari Turunen's idea was to make unmelting "ice" cubes from this material. The cubes can be refrigerated and used over and over again, in literally "on the rocks" drinks. Turunen works at Fiskars Village; he likes to combine silver and stones in his jewellery.
