the blow chair was designed by de pas, d'urbino, lomazzi & scolari in 1967 and produced in 1968.
as the first mass produced inflatable chair, the blow chair was more of a youth culture statement utilizing new materials & technology while questioning the presumed permanence associated with furniture. manufactured in high-frequency electronically welded calendered pvc, zanotta occasionally reintroduces the blow chair. often imitated in form but not quality, the blow chair is now available in clear, yellow or red and comes complete with a bellows pump.
collections: moma - vitra design museum - konstindustrimuseet - israel museum - etc.
a blow in clear is available for immediate shipment.
shipping charges may apply.
