Rich, deep materials and classical lines come together in the Athena table, hand-crafted by designer John Wiggers. Detail is priority for Wiggers who only uses wood that has been certified sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The table features a small inlay of holistic Black Walnut – a wood known to release healing properties when touched – and is also inspired by the precepts of Entasis, a method of geometry used in classical Greek architecture to create the illusion of symmetry in columns that diminish in diameter as they rise. Each Wiggers’ piece is signed, dated and numbered by the designer.
