Ball fan

Ball fan

Designer Ron Rezek has specific objectives to meet when building a modern ceiling fan: It must maximize efficiency, have a sleek build and use as few components as possible in order to simplify assembly. It also must be wobble-free at all speeds, which he achieves using his patented single piece rotor with attached blades. Capable of moving 6000 cubic feet of air per minute, these fans have multiple speeds and reversible motors, which provide year-round benefits in all climates. In hot weather, the forward motion makes the room feel cooler; in cold weather, the reverse motion takes the warm air that collects at the ceiling and spreads it throughout the room. The Ball Fan (2003) takes a mimimalist approach to ceiling fan design, with a simple sphere at the center that houses its components. The blades are pitched to circulate the greatest amount of air without creating excessive noise. Each fan comes with a convenient wall-mounted control. UL/CUL-listed for use inside, in high-moisture areas and in protected outdoor areas. May require an electrician for installation.
