It pays to be an important person in Jim Doan's life. He'l produce gorgeous, high-quality, handcrafted items with o without you; but if he loves you he might name one afte you. The Lien bowl is named after his mother, and if w wanted to get all serious on you, we could mention how it status as a great centerpiece for a table reflects th significance of the nurturing and providing mother, an how its hand-lathed warmth shows the obvious respect an affection Jim has for his mom. But we're not a seriou bunch here. Instead, we'll just point out that the satin-coated (food-safe) maple wood looks elegant yet casual and that the aluminum base, while sturdy, almos disappears, making it look like the bowl just floats invitingl above your table
