Blurring the lines between art and function, the Twist Coatrack (1998) is a slim double-helix form, devoid of any superfluous ornamentation. Built from eight solid beech prongs that are connected with steel and plastic, the Twist's delicate lines belie its sturdy construction. Available with either a mocha wood finish, or in bold multiple colors, the Twist adds a sensuous and playful touch to a modern interior. Designers Christoph Burtscher and Patrizia Bertolini are based in Italy, where they've collaborated since the early '90s. Assembly required. Made in Italy.
