Numbers Clock

Citing children’s blocks, elevator displays and Jenny Holzer among the influences for the Numbers Clock (2006), Jonas Damon’s LED design makes time a little more modular. Consisting of four black blocks, each illuminating one white LED number, the Numbers Clock connects each block with a simple cable, allowing the numbers to be moved around and rearranged at will. Stack them on top of each other or stack the hours and then the minutes to form a square. Damon, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, worked for Tom Dixon and Habitat before launching his own studio, Office for Design, in 2001. The clock includes an AC adapter and can run for a short time on three AAA batteries (not included).
