Architect, engineer and designer Jean Prouvé originally produced only a few of his highly polished, stainless steel paper knives – or Coupe Papier (1938) – to give as presents to business associates and architects. Reproduced to Prouvé’s original specifications, its organic shape echoes elements found in surrealist paintings of that time. Inherently ergonomic to hold, the Coupe Papier is one of the few small objects that Prouvé designed in his career. Made in Germany.
