Articulation is very important. If you're not articulate, you can't express your ideas to others. And if you're not articulated, then you don't have any joints and must stand like the proverbial Tin Man needing oil. We like our toys to be articulated too. Sure it's fun sometimes playing with little plastic army men that can only move their arms in your imagination, but many times we crave a robot that can balance on one foot and while shooting four guns (one in each hand) in four different directions.
