Architects Afra Bianchin and Tobia Scarpa bring careful consideration to what they design, and that includes everything from a handheld object to the realization of a city block. Their Ferro Mesh Spark Guard (1984) stands a mere two feet tall and is perfectly sized for small fireplaces often found in urban apartments. The modular panels permit flexibility in how the spark guard is positioned in front of the fireplace. Both the Spark Guard and 5 Piece Tool Set (sold seperately) are crafted out of black heavy gauge steel and simple steel accents. The designers draw from more than five decades' experience in building restoration and interior design, with projects throughout the world, including New York, Tokyo and Milan. Made in Italy.
